Doris Jean Middleton

Memorial services for Doris Jean Middleton, 65, of Mansfield, were held Wednesday, Nov. 29 at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Monticello. Rev. Randy Reese officiated.She died November 26 at Newton Medical Center.

Mrs. Middleton was the daughter of Mabel Loraine Hanna Steele and the late Thomas Franklin Steele. She enjoyed reading, gardening, working crossword puzzles, and studying the Bible. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dogs.

Her husband, J.B. Middleton, and grandchildren, Austin and Samantha Franklin, all preceded her in death.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughters, Caryl Hutcheson of Mansfield, Wendy Robbins of Douglasville, and Barbara Franklin of Yukon, Ok.; grandchildren, Shannon, Bryan, Darryl, John and Matthew Hutcheson, William Felch, Brad Robbins, Britaney and Derrick Franklin; great-grandchildren, Tristin, Nikki and Ansley Hutcheson; sister, Lois Spurlock; brothers, Roy Steele of Norton, Oh. and Elbert Steele of Arnoldsburg, W.V.
Caldwell & Cowan was in charge of arrangements.
