Arrests Are Reported
Jorian Quantez Goolsby of Monticello was arrested last weekend by the Monticello Police Department and charged with manufacture/sell/distribution of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, open container, and possession of drugs by an inmate.
Mr. Goolsby was stopped by the MPD on a routine traffic stop after the officer noticed the vehicle he was driving had a head light out and a tail light malfunction.
According to an official report the arresting officer detected a strong odor of marijuana on Mr. Goolsby and coming from inside his vehicle. During a pat down by the officer a bag of pills in assorted colors was discovered on the subject, which he stated was ecstasy pills.
Mr. Goolsby claimed to have no other drugs on him, however, after he entered the Jasper County Jail marijuana was found inside his shoe, according to the arrestng officer’s report.
In other crime related information, the MPD also made the following arrests during the period of November 27 through December 4:
•Jonathan Lamar White, Monticello—no tag, driving on a suspended or revoked license, hold for warrant in Butts County.
•Thomas David Smith, Mansfield—public drunkenness.
•Terence Keith Lucky, Monticello—possession of crack cocaine, DUI, speeding, carrying a concealed weapon, Jasper County Magistrate Court Bench Warrant.
•James Lyman Harrell, Shady Dale—DUI, driving on a suspended or revoked license.

During this same period the MPD responded to 96 calls for service, which included 48 stopping suspicious person/vehicle; two each juvenile complaint, music/loud noise complaint, and domestic disturbance; one each fight, alarm, and theft by taking.
Also, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office reported arresting James Dennis Milford of a Blue Heron Drive address last Sunday, and charging him with the offense of terroristic threats and acts, a felony. According to the report, Mr. Milford repeatedly threatened to kill his wife and anyone else in their residence with a shotgun, and said threats were recorded over 911 emergency lines.
During the above mentioned period the JCSO also made the following arrests:
•Terri Lynn Avery, Monticello—battery.
•Thomas Michael Corbisiero, Mansfield—failure to yield right of way, no tag.
•Govan Shane Alexander, Monticello—defective equipment, driving with license suspended.
•Keith Bennell Farley, Monticello—obstruction or hindering law enforcement, loitering or prowling, public drunkenness.
•Roderick Swain, Eatonton—disorderly conduct.
In addition, during this period deputies with the JCSO served 10 warrants and 25 civil processes. They conducted 21 traffic stops resulting in seven citations and 14 warnings, and responded to 93 other calls for service including 29 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, seven vandalism of property, six accidents; three each music/noise complaint, and 911 hang up; two each fight, burglary, intoxicated driver, theft by taking, juvenile complaint; and one each dog disturbance, domestic disturbance and speeding auto.
Furthermore, the Georgia State Patrol reported arresting Josh Adam Young, of Shady Dale, charged with DUI and speeding.
