One Pleas, One Is Arraigned

There were only two criminal cases on the calendar this past Tuesday during Jasper County Superior Court Motion Day, with Judge J. Lee Parrott presiding.

•Dwayne Boyd Beasley, who was originally sentenced to five years probation on the charge of possession of meth in March, 2004, had his probation revoked when sufficient evidence was presented to satisfy the court that the defendant violated probation by failing to report to the probation officer since May 18, 2004, and failing to pay court ordered fines of $1,950.

He was sentenced to serve 90 to 180 days in the state detention center and upon release be returned to regular probation with original terms and conditions.

•Demarcus Dewayne Lynwood who was charged with statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes on September 9, 2006, was arraigned and pled not guilty.
