Head Coach Steve Spruell said, “We just couldn’t seem to find our groove and didn’t play very well in any of the games. We’re looking forward to getting back to normal, getting back in school and playing well this Friday against Hancock.

“Morgan County did a great job with the tournament and it gave us an opportunity to get a final tune up before we begin our region play.”

The season starts to heat up tomorrow night when the ‘Canes begin region play by facing off with the Hancock Central Bulldogs, who come to town with a 10-4 record and ranked number six in the state. Tip-off will take place at approximately 8:30 p.m.

It doesn’t get any easier, on Tuesday, Jan. 9 the team continues region play traveling to Irwinton, to play the Wilkinson County Warriors, with an 11-1 record and ranked number one in the state.
