Charles J. Dumars

A memorial service for Charles “Bobby” John Dumars, Sr. of Fort Myers, Fla. was held Friday, Jan. 5 in the chapel of Smith & Sons Funeral Home with burial in South View Cemetery. Pastor Ricardo Hill officiated.
He died December 25, 2006.

Mr. Dumars was born April 23, 1946 to the late Lula Belle Dumars Ross in Jasper County.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Samuel N. Ross, Sr., and brother, Samuel N. Ross, Jr.

Survivors include his daughters, Robyn Dumars and Tina Dumars; sons, Charles Dumars, Jr. and DeMarcus Dumars, all of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Ella P. Head, Evelyn Ross, both of Jackson, Patricia Carey, Camilla Goodrum, Erica Smith, all of Monticello, and Sheila Ross of Locust Grove; brothers, Isaiah Ross of Fort Myers, Carey Ross, and Tony Ross, both of Monticello; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Arrangements were made by Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Myers, Fla. and Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
