Several Are Arrested
Joshua Alan Freeman of Monticello was arrested early this week by officers of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and charged with theft by receiving. The charge came as a result of Mr. Freeman having in his possession at his residence on Hwy. 83 South six Jasper County street signs.
Among the stolen signs were Deerfield Farms and Apt-to-Miss Road.
The JCSO reported the following additional arrests for the period Sept. 24 through Oct. 1:
Miguel Lopez Perez, Monticello—driving while unlicensed.

Sergio Escovedo, Eatonton—driving while unlicensed.
Nohemi Bautista Mendoza, Shady Dale—driving while unlicensed.
Nariso Lara Zamudio, Lawrenceville—driving while unlicensed.
Petro Martin Ortiz, Shady Dale—driving while unlicensed.
Albino Mezauital, Shady Dale—no insurance, altered tag, driving while unlicensed, speeding.
Jeffery Leonard Johnson, Lithonia—driving while li-cense suspended or revoked, giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
Joshua Brandon Heaton, Macon—driving while li-cense suspended or revoked, speeding.
Brittney Nicole Dickerson, Covington—DUI, speeding.
Adrienne Lynnette Manning, Monticello—aggravated assault, cruelty to children, battery.
Vernon Richard Walker, Morgan—theft by taking (four counts).
Karen Weaver Carey, Union Point—Jasper County Superior Court Bench Warrant.
Rachel Lynn Foley, Hillsboro—probation violation.
Also, during this period deputies with the JCSO responded to 165 calls for service including 37 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 21 subject needs officer, six each accident, alarm and theft by taking, five vandalism of property, three burglary, one each fight, livestock on road, juvenile complaint and illegal dumping/littering.
During this same period the Monticello Police Department reported the following two arrests:
Lucas Delgado, Monti-cello—disorderly conduct, public drunk.
Rodriquez Montrell Davis, Monticello—probation viola-tion.
Also, during this period officers with the MPD responded to 110 calls for service including five each accident and alarm, two each burglary, theft by taking, and argument, one each fight, juvenile complaint, vandalism of property, trespassing, persons refuse to leave, and person dead.
