Susie Loretta Kelley Greene

Susie Loretta Kelley Greene of Mansfield, 34, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.

Mrs. Greene was born in Clarke County. She moved to Jasper County 10 years ago after living in Farmington. She was a Methodist. Her mother, Katie Loretta Shelton, preceded her in death. Certified as a first responder and rescue specialist, Mrs. Greene‘s greatest joy came from volunteering as a firefighter for Station 6 North Alcovy until her health would no longer allow.

Survivors include her husband, William David Greene of Mansfield; daughter, Cassie Marie Greene, also of Mansfield; father and step-mother, William Dowell and Joyce Kelly of Murrayville; father and mother-in-law, David and Diane H. Greene of Mansfield; great-grandmother, Mary Holcombe of Mansfield; sisters and brothers, Sheila Kelley Angel of Bostwick, Connie Abigail Kelley and Donald Gary Kelley, both of Watkinsville, and Derrell Dewayne Kelley of Madison; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Center Pointe Church, 1331 Lions Club Road, Madison, GA 30650, with burial in Farmington Cemetery in Farmington. Pastor Sara Pearson and Dr. Rick Smith to officiate.

Pallbearers are Billy Kelley, Anthony Angel, Mackenzie Angel, Joseph Kelley, Chris Kelley, David Ratliff, Kevin Gilleland, and Aaron Gilleland.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 12,
7-9 p.m., at Jordan Funeral Home, Monticello.

The family suggests donations to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Ct., Social Circle, GA 30025 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Ellen Boyd, McIntosh State Bank, PO Box 31, Monticello, GA 31064 in lieu of flowers.
