Cougars Rained Out Again
The ongoing battle with rain and weather conditions continued for the Piedmont Academy baseball team Tuesday.
The early morning rain caused Tuesday’s scheduled game against Brentwood to be postponed until Wednesday. It was yet another in a long line of postponements this spring for coach Danny Camp’s team.
“In about the last 25 days, we have only been able to play four games,” Camp said late Tuesday. “Our outfield was just had too much water on it to play. It has been tough for everybody.”
The Piedmont coach also said today’s game against Young Americans has been cancelled since the Cougars’ opponent has to make up a region game of its own.
The Cougars will travel to Monsignor Donovan Friday for a 1-AA game at 4:30 p.m.
Since Tuesday’s varsity game was moved to Wednesday, the scheduled middle school contest against Brentwood will now be Saturday following a B-team doubleheader against John Milledge and Brentwood at 10 a.m.
Next Monday Piedmont will play a B-team/varsity doubleheader against Pinecrest at home beginning at 4 p.m.
