Tommie Lee Hicks

A graveside service for Tommie Lee Hicks, 55, was held April 9 at Midway C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Shady Dale with Rev. Benny Dearro officiating.

Mr. Hicks died April 4.

He was born February 12, 1954 to the late Willie Clem Hicks, Sr., and Mrs. Ellen Lucille Terry Hicks. He was married to the late Mrs. Dorothy Lawson Hicks.

Mr. Hicks attended Jasper County Training School in Monticello. He enjoyed driving large trucks and worked in the logging/pulpwood industry with Henry Odom and Bill Sheppard.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Barbara Ann Hicks-Stone of Covington; brothers, J.C. Hicks of Shady Dale, Nathaniel Hicks of Monticello, Willie Clem Hicks, Jr. and Terry Hicks, both of Covington, and a host of other relatives and friends.
