Mrs. Annie F. Anfield
Mrs. Annie F. Anfield was born June 17, 1919 to Estelle and Charlie Stone in Monticello.
She died on June 2, 2009, at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. Anfield accepted Christ at Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Union. She retired from Cook County Hospital after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Anfield; son, Levi Anfield, Jr.; siblings, Leamon Parks, J.C. Price, Fluellen Morris, Clionus Stone, Francis W. Stone, and Barbara Benton.
Survivors include her children, Wilson Anfield, II, of Cape Coral, Fla., Levester Anfield and Ann Elizabeth Nabors of Chicago, Ill.; siblings, Gladys Kelly and Annie Mae Goolsby of Monticello; Charlie Stone, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dorothy Lewis of Chicago, Ill.
Also, grandchildren, Roy, Levi III, Bernard, Alice, Gladys, Lolita P., Mildred, 45 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family members.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, June 16, at Concord Church Cemetery in Monticello, with Rev. Jimmy Horton officiating.
Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
