School Board To Approve Budget Today

The Jasper County School Board will have a called meeting today, June 25, at 1 p.m. to set the final budget and sign a contract for employment for the interim superintendent, Gene Trammell.

In addition to approving the 2010 budget— and setting the millage rate, the board will approve amendments to the 2009 budget.

The board will approve the consolidated budget, the maintenance and operations millage needs, and the debt service millage needs.

The meeting will be held at the regular School Board meeting room in the old Washington Park School on Fred Smith Street off Martin Luther King Drive near Funderburg Drive.
