Arnold Chisholm

Funeral services for Arnold Chisholm, 90, of Monticello will be held today, July 16, at 11 a.m. at Righteous Temple U.P.C. of God, with burial in South View Cemetery.

Mr. Chisholm died July 13. He was one of seven children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Isiah Chisholm. After serving in the U.S. Army, he moved to New York. While in New York he had several gas stations and automobile mechanic shops.
In the mid-1980s, Mr. Chisholm moved to Monticello with his wife and daughter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wylean Crutchfield Chisholm, and all of his siblings, Betsy Green, Gladys Johnson, Rhoda Richards, Gertrude George, Oliver Chisholm, and John Wesley Chisholm.

Survivors include his daughter, Dr. Marie Chisholm-Burns and son-in-law John Fitzgerald Burns of Tucson, Ariz; grandson, John Fitzgerald Burns, Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; sister-in-laws, Mrs. Lucille Tanner of Forsyth; Dolly Gotell of Cliffwood, N.J., Julia Mae Dennis of Monticello; brother-in-laws, Willie Tanner of Forsyth and H.K. Gotell of Cliffwood, N.J., and a number of other relatives.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
