Two Arrested for Theft by Receiving

Arrico Martell Williams, 21, and Antonio Donte Horton, 28, both of Newborn, were arrested last weekend and charged with theft by receiving stolen property. Mr. Horton was also charged with probation violation.

On August 14, a burglary occurred at the Newton County Public Works in which more than $1,000 in tools were stolen. The items were taken from the location in a truck that was also stolen from the same property. The truck, equipped with a Global Positioning Sensor which showed it stopped at 345 Pitts Chapel Road in Jasper County for 23 minutes, led to the arrests by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).

During the period of August 11 through 18 the JCSO reported the following additional arrests:

Donald Allen Gilroy, 50, Monticello—disorderly conduct.

John Clifford Lackey, 20, Monticello—disorderly conduct.

Sabrina Ann Dumas, 38, Hillsboro—simple battery.

Frank C. Dumas, Jr., 49, Hillsboro—simple battery.

Ashley N. Flanigan, 25, Winder—deposit account fraud.

Aaron David Michaels, 28, Macon—probation violation.

Carlos Tarrez Harris, 34, Tennille—parole violation.

David Allan Hicks, 27, Monticello—battery.

Samantha Ann Barber, 20, Monticello—theft by taking.

Sabin Bryce Proffitt, 27, Monticello—hold for warrant in Newton Co.

Richard Neil Smith, 41, Monticello—habitual violator.

Rebecca Jo Palmer, 33, Buckhead—Jasper County Superior Court Bench warrant.

Johnnie Doyle Catchings, 59, Monticello—simple battery.

During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 160 calls for service including 41 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 17 subject needs officer, 10 suspicious person and/or vehicle, eight alarm, seven theft by taking, six each accident and escort or convoy, five road hazard. four each domestic and vandalism of property, three dog disturbance, two each trouble unknown, argument and 911 hang up, one each fight, burglary, chase, person dead, assault, counterfeit, juvenile complaint, music/noise complaint, gas drive off, trespassing and VGCSA.

During this same period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the following arrests:

Patti Lynn Lewis, 34, Macon—hold for warrant Monroe Co.

Terrance Antonia Bostic, 23, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.

Alray Leon Goolsby, 59, Monticello—probation violation.

Also, during this period, officers with the MPD responded to 103 calls for service including 30 escort or convoy, 22 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, six subject needs officer, three each juvenile complaint and suspicious person and/or vehicle, two each fight, crowd disbursement, foot patrol, trouble unknown, music/noise complaint, vandalism of property, and 911 hang up, one each alarm, dog disturbance, burglary, accident, livestock on road, gas drive off, argument and fraud/theft by deceiving.

The Georgia Department of Pardons and Paroles arrested Gabriel Morton Richards, 44, of Monticello, and charged him with parole violation.
