Middle School Lady Cougars Win

The Piedmont Academy Middle School softball team posted another win recently with a 7-4 victory against John Milledge on the road.

Carla Martin earned the win after working a complete game. Offensively, Martin helped her own cause with two singles and two runs.

Also contributing at the plate were Brea Dickson, McKenzi Maddox, Savan nah McGinnis and Cheyenne Galloway.
The Middle School Lady Cougars dropped a 5-4 decision to Gatewood on the road in recent action.

Galloway pitched a complete game and coach Dan Funt said she gave “great effort” in the contest. Only two of Gatewood’s five runs were earned. Dickson, Maddox, Martin and Galloway led the Piedmont offense.

The team will return to action today, Sept. 3, when it hosts Strong Rock at 6 p.m.
