John Wesley “Bro” Norman, Jr.

John Wesley “Bro” Norman, Jr. died September 4, 2009.

Funeral services were held Wedneday, Sept. 9, at Greenwood Baptist Church in Shady Dale. Rev. Willie Frank Norwood officiated; burial was in Community Cemetery.

Mr. Norman was born September 6, 1949 in Shady Dale to the late John and Alberta Norman. He was known by manay people as “Bro.” He joined Greenwood Baptist Church at an early age.

Mr. Norman was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Oscar Norman and Willie Edward Smith.

Survivors include a daughter, Valarie Norman of Monticello; a son, Anthony Norman of Decatur; a sister, Shirley Stone of Monticello; three grandchidlren, a special friend, Gussie White of Monticello, and a host of other relatives.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
