Charles Ernest Stone

Funeral services for Charles Ernest Stone, 66, were held Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Joe L. McKibbens officiated.
He died September 10.

Mr. Stone was born September 19, 1942 in Jasper County to the late William Harvey Stone and Sallie Mae Carter Stone. He joined Bethlehem Baptist Church and was educated in the Jasper County public school system. Mr. Stone was a truck driver for Dexter Axle.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Stone, Jr.; sister, Mae Will Stone; brothers, Willie Stone and James Stone.

Survivors include a son, Charles Anthony Stone; daughters, Angela Stone, Dawn Stone, and Carla Stone, all of Atlanta; sisters, Kathy Stone of Jenkinsburg and Maude Reid of Covington; brothers, Robert Stone, Tommie Stone, and Herman Stone, all of Monticello; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
