Piedmont Track Competes

The Piedmont Academy track athletes ventured to Brentwood last week and once again had several standout performances.
Carter Greeson won the long jump competition while Austin Mitcham was second in the 110-meter hurdles.

Zach Benjamin was also runner-up in the 100-meter dash while Dylan Collins took third in the 200-meter event.
For the Lady Cougars, Sage Fuller was third in the 1,600-meter run.

The track teams will return from spring break and compete at Gatewood next Wednesday, April 14, before preparing for the Region 1-AA meet at Strong Rock the following week.
Coach Rhett Farmer said he continues to be proud of the athletes who compete for the track teams noting some take part in other spring sports.
