Women Come Together
Once a month, we (women from the community) get together in the Backporch Café.
This venue happens to be in the rear of Sunrise Gifts and Thrift. It feels so much like home that we had to name it the Backporch.
Honestly, there are days that Jason has to call me to come home because I am so engrossed in what I am doing and I just have no desire to leave my little piece of heaven, here in Monticello. So, I thought I would invite other ladies to share in the moment with me.
We have been getting together for four months now, and every month, there are new faces. You see, when I am at the thrift store, I make it a point to get to know the women that come in and enjoy introducing them to each other.
Trouble is, whenever I start to introduce them, I forget everybody’s names, including mine. Thus, the reason for the games that we play to get to know each other at the Women’s Fellowship.
I want to thank Nina Finklestein for teaching us how to love and take care of ourselves so that we can love others. I want to thank Dianne Parker for teaching us to see every season of our life as a time of preparation.
This fellowship is for all women, all races, all stages, and all ages (18-up). The heart is to connect us to each other, to learn to embrace God as He embraces us, and to maybe even get to know someone that you pass by every day, but know nothing about.
We live in a small town, isn’t knowing each other one of the things that we like to brag about?
Ladies, I just want you to get connected and feel loved. If you don’t want to get connected on the square, please find somewhere, where you do feel loved and welcome.
You are too special to feel alone and without hope or friends. Oh, and if you let me know you’re coming, I’ll wait for you at the front door.
Call the store at 706-468-0757 or you can e-mail me at jasontcam@bellsouth.net. Love you.
Peace and Love, Cheryl
