Man Pleads Guilty to 10 Counts of Forgery

There were only two criminal cases on the calendar of the Jasper County Superior Court Motion Day Tuesday, with Judge James L. Cline, Jr., presiding.

In the first case Oscar Jenkins plead guilty to 10 counts of forgery and was sentenced to seven years on each case to run concurrent for seven years with 120/180 days to serve in a State Detention Center and the remainder to be served on probation. Mr. Jenkins was also ordered to pay court fines and fees of $1,382 and restitution of $530.

The other case was the revocation/modification of probation of Bryant Ray Bozeman, who had been found guilty of violation of his parole by failing to report to the probation officer as directed and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees. Mr. Bozeman was sentenced to 90 days in the Jasper County Jail after which probation shall terminate, or upon payment of $785 he may be released.

Also, Jasper County Magistrate Criminal Ordinance Violation Arraignment Court with Judge Kenneth G. Jackson, presiding, convened last Friday during which Anthony Scott Middlebrooks, Chelsea Wood, Robert Lawrence Gladue and Hakeel Devont Norwood all pled guilty to disorderly conduct.

Each of the above was sentenced to 12 months probation, fined $210 and to serve 30 hours of community service.

In addition, a Not Guilty plea was submitted by the following individuals who will be scheduled for a Bench Trial this Friday, September 17: Roland Vernon Tribble to cruelty/neglect of animals; Michael Eads to theft of utilities; Marcus A. Thomas to two counts of deposit account fraud; Edwin L. Pennamon to deposit account fraud.
