Bonnie E. Bierley Walberg
Bonnie E. Bierley Walberg, 67, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Walberg was born to the late Eugene Mitchell Bierley and Marguerita Bashaw Littleton in Detroit, Mich. on November 5, 1942. She graduated in 1960 from North Miami High School. She lived in Fort Lauderdale for over 25 years before moving to Monticello in 1982. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Covington. Before retirement, she was a Premastering Engineer with Denon Digitalized Inc. for 17 years.
Mrs. Walberg was a loving and devoted wife for 50 years and a loving, devoted, and patient mother for 49 years. “Miss Bonnie” as she was also known by her friends, loved to ride her Harley, crochet, read and watch sci-fi movies.
Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas Joseph Walberg of Mansfield; children and spouses, Bonnie and Carl Connell of Conyers, Lynda Gene Spencer of Mansfield, Arthur and Sandra Walberg of Monticello, Barbara and Marty McClendon of Monticello, and Patricia and Chad Strickland of McDonough; grandchildren, Nicole Davis, Bradley Saindon, Christopher Spencer, Mallory Spencer, Kyle Spencer, Daina Marie Walberg, Justin Walberg, Jessica Walberg, Michael James McClendon, Megan Womack, and BreAnna Silver; great- grandchildren, Jackson Dingler, Cheyenne Davis, and Madelyn Dingler; and brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Bierley of Austin, Texas, and Ronald Maida Bierley of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Funeral services were to be held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Covington. Father John Kieran was to officiate.
Pallbearers were to be Arthur Walberg, Bradley Saindon, Michael McClendon, Kyle Spencer, Justin Walberg and Christopher Spencer.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Monticello.
