Band Takes Top Honors

Last Saturday the Jasper County High School Marching Hurricanes competed in the 33rd annual Greater Atlanta Marching Festival held at Rockdale County High School.
They competed in the Silver Division, which consisted of 10 bands total, including three bands that were much larger in size. After giving their best performance of the year, not only did the Marching Hurricanes win first place in their class, but they also beat out all the other bands in their division to become the Silver Division Grand Champions. All judging captions received the highest ratings of Superior, including the overall Band, Drum Major, Percussion, and Color Guard.
The band would like to thank everyone who has supported them this year. It takes many hands doing various jobs to make the band run smoothly. Additionally, they would like to thank all members of the band boosters, who give physical, emotional, and financial support throughout the year.
