Piedmont Basketball Returns To Action

The Piedmont Academy varsity basketball teams will return to action today when they travel to Flint River Academy in Woodbury.

Varsity games begin at 6 p.m. Middle School games will also be played beginning at 3 p.m.

Both varsity teams return to action at 5-2. The boys have fallen in their past two games but will look to get back on track today.

The Lady Cougars had won five in a row prior to falling to John Milledge Dec. 18.

After today’s games, the varsity teams will not take the court again until Jan. 4 when they travel to Warrenton to meet Briarwood.

The Middle School games scheduled for Friday at Flint River have been cancelled. School officials did not want student-athletes on the road for a school activity on New Year’s Eve.
