Bond Set at $50,000 in Armed Robbery Case
A bond of $50,000 was set in Jasper County Superior Court for Myles Xavier Campbell, who is currently being held in the Jasper County Jail on the charge of the armed robbery of Susie Q’s Convenience Store on January 11.
Judge Hugh V. Wingfield, III, granted the bond pending a trial and under the conditions the defendant remain on general good behavior, provide a permanent address, avoid alcohol, does not possess a firearm, remain in the state, and certain other restrictions.
Another condition to Mr. Campbell’s bond was that he wear an ankle monitor bracelet 24 hours a day, with a cost to him of approximately $195 in deposit and a daily fee of seven to $10.
Also, the Court found sufficient evidence to modify or revoke the probation of the following six individuals, and sentenced then as shown:

Hugh L. Behling, sentenced to complete 90-120 days in a detention center, and to begin Sex Offender Treatment at Highland Institute within 30 days of release from detention center, and upon completion return to original probation.
•Mark W. Britt, Jr., who committed the new offenses of theft by taking and forgery, was sentenced to one year to be served in the State Penal System with credit for time served since August 17, 2010, and upon completion be returned to regular probation.
•Willie Driskell, who committed the new offense of disorderly conduct, was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served, and upon completion have probation terminated.
•Cynthia Ann Bell, who committed the new offenses of failing to report and attempting to obtain dangerous drugs by fraud, was sentenced to 30 days to serve with credit for time served since February 11, 2011.
•Hollis Chanard Williams, who committed the new offenses of failure to report, failure to pay court ordered fines and fees, and testing positive for alcohol and THC, was sentenced to 14 days in the Jasper County Jail, and upon completion be returned to regular probation with all conditions intact and arrears of $454 to be paid in full by April 15, 2011.
•Larandy Stephen Gotel, who committed the new offenses of failure to report, failure to pay court ordered fines and fees, failure to attend domestic violence program, terroristic threats and act, and obstruction of an officer, was sentenced to 180 days in the Jasper County Jail with credit for time served since February 13, 2011, and upon completion have probation terminated.
Also, the following individuals plead guilty to charges as shown and were sentenced as indicated:
•Steven Harp to possession of meth and DUI—sentenced to five years to be served on probation and fines and fees of $2,058.
•James D. Fondren to DUI—sentenced to 72 hours in the Jasper County Jail, fines and fees of $1,920, and ordered to complete DUI Risk Reduction Program, complete clinical evaluation and treatment, install ignition interlock, publish photo and surrender tag.
•Rick N. Perry to theft by taking—sentenced to seven years with one year to serve with credit for time served since September 27, 2010, and fines and fees of $1,382.
•Russell Clay Mincy to DUI, attempting to elude a police officer and possession of marijuana—sentence not available at press time.
