Mrs. Katrina Evette Davis

Mrs. Katrina Evette Davis died Tuesday, March 15.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19, at St. James A.M.E. Church in Monticello. Rev. Donna Marie Calix officiated.

Mrs. Davis was born in Clarke County on April 2, 1974, the daughter of Mrs. Martha Thurmond and lawrence Thurmond. she was a very loving and spirited person; she lived her life through her family and friends. She joined St. James A.M.E. Church and was a faithful member until her health declined.

She and Joe K. Davis Jr. were married on April 17, 1999.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two children, Shekenia Thurmond and J’Quavious Thurmond; mother, Martha Thurmond, all of Monticello; father, Lawrence Thurmond of Athens; brother, Cedric Thurmond of Lawrenceville; sister, Ashley Thurmond of Monticello; in laws, and a number of other relatives and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
