Middle School Lady Cougars Win

The Piedmont Academy Middle School Lady Cougars soccer team recorded a 4-1 victory against Gatewood recently in what was one of the better performances of the season.

Haley Tyler and Summer Jarrard both scored two goals for Piedmont.
“Everyone played excellent,” coach Jake Landress said. “That’s two games in a row where we’ve given our all on the field. I am glad we were able to pull out the win.”

Prior to the Gatewood win, the Middle School Lady Cougars fell to Strong Rock 1-0.

“It was a very good game,” Landress said. “Our girls played great and stayed in their positions. Our keeper would have needed to be eight feet tall to have stopped their one goal. We played well. It was probably one of our best efforts as far as playing how we were supposed to play.”

Piedmont is now off until after spring break.
