Lovely Ladies

The Jasper County Volunteer Firefighters Auxiliary raised nearly $1,000 Saturday night with a Womanless Beauty Pageant featuring several of the volunteers.

Contestants included (seated, left to right) Robb Leggett as “Mona Lot Legett,” David Moore as “Nurse Good Baby,” Matt Tumlin as “TrixieBouche,” Brian Holland as “Sue,” and Tyler Brown as “Redneck Woman.” Others include (standing, left to right) Jeremy Webb as “Mia Hamm” Steve Milligan as “High Heels Hula Hoopin’ Hilda,” Jarrett Slocumb as “Polly Darton,” Tyler Fritz as “Gracie Lou Freebush,” Sean Brown as “Miss 2-riffic.” and (not pictured) Jesse Mador as “Tootsie Roll Trudy.”

And the winner was—Gracie Lou Frebush, also know as Tyler Fritz. Sue, aka Brian Holland was first runner-up, and Mona Lot Leggett, aka Robb Leggett was second runner-up. Matt Tumlin, aka TrixieBouche was named “Miss Congeniality.” The evening’s festivities were emceed by Ronnie Payne, and the judges were Greg Wood, Hannah Mathews, and Dr. Shannon Barton. Music was provided by Moonstruck, made up of J.R. Cobb, Randy Martin, and Sandy Fletcher.

Gail Harrell with the firefighters auxiliary welcome everyone and thanked all for their participation. Special thanks was expressed to Cindy Hughes, principal of Jasper County Primary School where the pageant was held, Supt. Dr. Mike Newton and the Board of Education, Dixie’s Sporting Goods & Trophy and Ingles Markets, Inc. of Monticello. Sponsors included Hooper Trailer Sales, Monticello Drugs, Town-N-Country General Store, Bank of Monticello, McIntosh State Bank, Edward Jones/Bob Ferrante, Steve Currie, Inc., Yielding Insurance Agency, Inc., State Rep. Susan Holmes, Tricia Armistead CPA, PC, and McGinnis Realty. In addition, a number of local businesses gave door prizes.
