Missing Woman Is Found
Alma Ruth Lethco of Mansfield was found last Sunday morning, June 5, after she had gone missing from a home on County Line Road on Friday, June 3. According to family members, Ms. Lethco suffers from Alzheimer’s.
After Ms. Lethco’s disappearance was reported, agents with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), volunteer firemen and first responders, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers from neighboring counties spent considerable time looking for her before finding her as she emerged from a dense area on Henderson Mill Road, less than a mile from where she disappeared.
She had possibly spent the night in a vacant home nearby. She had been taught not to cross the road, so the searchers think they probably just missed her several times.
