Driver Hurt

The driver of this car was airlifted Tuesday afternoon after he was pulled from the wreckage by volunteers and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel.

Those responding thought that extrication equipment was needed, but they managed to free the man. The single-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 16 west just outside the city limits. No further information was available Wednesday from the Ga. Sate Patrol
