TWO INJURED?

The incomplete report by the Georgia State Patrol of this accident Friday lists injuries as two, but many children and their parents would say differently. A Monticello Baptist Church bus was returning from Jekyll Island, where the youth had participated in Super WOW events during the previous week. The bus was traveling north on Hwy. 11, south of Monticello. When it reached the intersection with Perimeter Road, a Lincoln Zephr ran the stop sign pulling into the path of the bus. A collision ensued. David Cranford of Suwanee is listed as the driver of the car. Robert McMichael of Monticello was driving the church bus. Two people were taken by ambulance from the scene, but numerous others visited the hospital to be sure they did not have injuries. Since the report from the GSP is not complete, it is unknown what charges will be brought against Mr. Cranford.
