Kayla Fletcher
Kayla Fletcher, 14, of Monticello died July 14, 2011.
She attended Shiloh Baptist Church, and loved spending time with her church family. Kayla was a jokester always wanting to have a good time. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, swimming, music, singing, dancing, and playing basketball with the Monticello Hurricanes. Kayla loved her family and friends dearly.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Katrina and Roland Eaton of Covington; father and step-mother, Robert and Melanie Fletcher of Monticello; sisters, Ashley Fletcher, Kaylin Corbin, Emily Rooks; brothers, Gavin Fletcher, Zachary Fletcher; grandparents, Robert and Deborah Gladue of Mansfield, Deborah and Van Byous of Covington, Marlene and Randy Bradford of Auburn, Ala., Elizabeth Patterson of Jackson, Johnny Livery of McDonough; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 17, at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, in Newborn, with Pastor Danny Sorrells and Rev. Ricky Stubbs officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, on Saturday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
