NEW CANINE (K-9)

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy Randy Dean is pictured here with Dee-Moe, a canine provided to the county by the non-profit organization, We Ride To Provide, which supports K-9 dogs and pays tribute to fallen K-9’s.
The organization (WRTP) has furnished the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) with a new fully trained K-9. After the demise of the department’s former K-9, King, the JCSO procured a puppy and was in the expensive process of training him when WRTP provided the county with a fully trained K-9 from PCPEECEE Kennels in Waynesboro, which provided the department with a $20,000 dog for only a $2,000 investment.
The puppy which was in training has been donated to a neighboring county. The new K-9’s name is Dee-Moe, and he discovered a cache of marijuana his first day on the job.
Dee-Moe is a fully certified patrol dog and spends 24 hours a day with Deputy Dean. WRTP also provides first aid classes and kits for K-9’s at no charge.
