Football Contest

The Monticello News annual football contest begins this week.

Never mind the thermometer, it’s football season. High schools began play last week, and most colleges open their season this week, with the pros joining the fray next week.

All will be represented in the annual Monticello News Football Contest, which opens its season this week. Games will be listed in the September 1 issue and the season’s first winner will be announced in the September 8 issue.

Deadline for entries for the first contest is Friday, Sept. 2, at 5 p.m. at The News office, 237 W.Washington St., Monticello.
