Tony George Seawright

Tony George Seawright, 71, of Monticello, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Seawright was born in Helen to the late Buford George Seawright and Addie Line Vandiveer Seawright. He served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Atlanta for a number of years before moving to Monticello six years ago.

Before retirement, Mr. Seawright was a truck driver for Nalley Motors.

Survivors include his wife, Lana Kittinger Seawright of Monticello; children and spouses, Toni Lea and Jessie Norton of Monticello, Charolette Ann and Charles Graham of Tallapoosa, Tony Robert, Sr. and Wendy Seawright of Monticello, and Clarence Jake Seawright of Slidell, N.C.; grandchildren, Sonja Morris, A.J. Norton, Jake Seawright, Nick Seawright, Tommy Graham, Nancy House, Tony Robert Seawright, Jr., and Tyler Seawright; 13 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, John Henry Seawright of Canton, Judy Partee of McDonough, Brenda Purdy of Dawson Springs, Ky., and Buford Seawright of Swords Creek, Va.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 10, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
