Tracie Louise Rockmore
Tracie Louise Rockmore, 46, of Monticello died November 25, 2011.
She was born October 22, 1965 to Perry and Barbara Rockmore. She was educated in the Jasper County public school system and was a graduate of the class of 1984. She joined St. James A.M.E. Church and attended regularly.
She was employed at Peachtree Lighting in Covington for many years, and most recently worked for Harris Sample Book in Monticello until her health declined.
Ms. Rockmore lived her life with dignity and courage. She displayed a quiet strength that gave courage to her family and friends. In her love for her family she never wavered and was always there for them, even when her own physical health grew weak.
She was known throughout the neighborhood for her love of decorating. She was very creative and talented; when the seasons changed, so did the decor and it was known to be classy and elegant.
Ms. Rockmore was preceded in death by her “Papie,” Rossie Jeffries, Jr.
In addition to her mother, survivors include, two daughters, Sanqueninta L. Barron of Monticello and Sanquenish L. Rockmore of Barnesville; two grandchildren, Zani and Zaniya Cole; brothers, Casey A. Rockmore, and James B. Rockmore, both of Monticello; a sister, Valerie Sanford of Covington; devoted friend, Brian Hill; a special friend, Diann Reid; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A service was to be held Wednesday, Nov. 30 at St. James A.M.E. Church with Rev. Donna Marie Calix, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in South View Cemetery.
Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Monticello was in charge of arrangements.
