BURGLAR AT WORK

The Dawg Shack, a new restaurant in Monticello on Madison Hwy. has not yet advertised it is open, and it was news to The News office, but a call was heard on the scanner Tuesday morning sending police to the restaurant.

Someone had thrown bricks through the window to access the building. The burglar(s) took the change that was left in the till, but did not bother other objects in the restaurant. The break-in is being investigated by the Monticello Police Department.
