COLLISION

Wednesday morning didn’t start out very well for two young ladies in Jasper County. A 2008 Honda driven by Christina Rogers was traveling north on Bethel Church Road. She said she stopped at the sign, looked, then pulled out into the highway.

She pulled into the path of a 1992 Mitsubishi driven by Jessica Taylor who was traveling west on Hwy. 212, according to Deputy Rick Cook with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

Ms. Taylor was transported by ambulance to Newton General Hospital. Ms. Rogers, and a juvenile with her, were checked out by paramedics at the scene and were not transported by ambulance.

Deputy Greg Sands was also working at the accident, directing traffic around the area. Sheriff Charles Roper was also on scene. Both cars sustained significant damage and were towed. No charges were filed.
