Shiloh Sweeps Four to Westwood Christian

The Shiloh Christian Academy basketball teams found the familiar confines of their home court more to their liking last Thursday as they swept four games against the visiting Warriors of Westwood Christian Academy from Thomaston.
In the junior girls action which started the day off, the Lady Knights jumped out to an early 7-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 20-9 victory in running their record to five wins and no losses for the season.
Maddy Davidson led Shiloh with 8 points, followed by Rachael Jackson and McKenzie Tolbert with 4 each. Laura Miller and Erin Carter rounded the scoring with 2.
The junior boys game saw the Knights get their first victory of the season by a final score of 20-11. Shiloh only led by two after three quarters but pulled away with a nine point fourth quarter to secure the win. Parker Wyatt and Matt Mitchell led the Knight attack with 7 each. Peyton Rogers added 4 and Brian Cumbess scored 2.
The third game of the night saw the middle school Lady Knights improve their record to 4-4 with a hard fought 14-6 win over Westwood. Tolbert and Lorin Crawford led SCA with 4 while Jackson, Davidson, and Ambriel Wyatt each added 2.
The middle school boys made it a clean sweep over the visitors with a physical 28-16 win after holding only a slim two point lead at the half. The Knights used a 10-2 run in the third quarter to pull away and run their record to 7-2 on the year. Matthew Lawson had 10 points, Jacob Young, Ady Dahod, and David Sorrells each netted 4.
Justin Clark, Sam Mitchell, and Justin Nelson each had a basket.
All four teams return to action at home this Thursday to host the Saint George Episcopal School Dragons from Milner. The middle school boys will then travel to Milledgeville on Friday for a game with Sinclair Christian Academy and the junior teams will host the Lake Oconee Academy Titans on Saturday morning. Monday will also see another home quadruple header when Middle Georgia Christian of Macon comes to town.
