Juvenile Vandals Arrested
Four juveniles ranging in age from 10-13 were arrested and charged with burglary last Friday, Feb. 17, in Alcovy Shores, according to information received from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).
The arrests came after a concerned citizen alerted the JCSO of juvenile activity at a house across the cove. Upon arriving at a residence on Herring Gull Court a deputy found the four juveniles had spray painted the walls and done over $500 in damages vandalizing the house. The four were arrested at the scene.
Other criminal activity reported by the JCSO during the last week includes the following:

•On February 18 a resident on Edison Lane in Alcovy Shores reported the theft of electric stand up heaters, black CD player and CDs.
•On February 17 a resident on Aikenton Road in northeast Jasper County reported the theft of two Craftsman blowers, a Craftsman chainsaw, a metal saw and a yellow generator.
•On February 16 a resident on Hwy. 11 North in Mans-field reported the theft of 1995 Suzuki dirt bike.
•On February 16 a resident on East Mourning Dove in Turtle Cove reported the theft of two gold necklaces.
Also, during the period of February 14-21 the JCSO reported the following arrests:
•Seth Jackson Crow, 25, Social Circle—aggravated assault and sexual battery against a child under the age of 16.
•Quincy Amos Bogan, 32, Shady Dale—probation violation.
•Fonda Lynn Corbin, 39, Madison—possession of meth.
•Jessica Shae Sprayberry, 24, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Thomas David Smith, 23, Covington—criminal damage to property in the second degree.
•Marlayna Chanise Cordell, 20, McDonaough—theft by taking and driving while license suspended/revoked.
•Christopher Lance Fowler, Jr., 22, Monticello—burglary (two counts).
•Terrell Eugene Stinson, 49, Shady Dale—possession of drug related objects, possession of cocaine and probation violation.
•Gabriel Nortavius Richards, 25, Monticello—tampering with evidence, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officer and probation violation.
•Gregory Lorosco Thurman, 46, Monticello—possession of cocaine and possession of drug related objects.
•Brandon Scott Harrison, 27, Mansfield—false imprisonment and simple battery.
•Daryelle Anthony Chappell, 42, Conyers—probation violation.
•Joseph Drew Davis, 39, Newborn—hold for warrant in Newton County.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 178 calls for service including 72 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 14 alarm, nine subject needs officer, seven each escort or convoy, mechanical breakdown and pick up prisoner, six each accident and welfare check.
Also, four juvenile complaint, three each burglary, assist motorist, theft by taking, assault, trouble unknown and attempt to serve warrant, two each deliver emergency message, possible suicide, threatening/harassing calls, property found, persons refuse to leave and VGCSA.
Also, one each dog disturbance, domestic, livestock on road, intoxicated driver, fire, mental person, wanted/stolen indicated, child abuse/molestation, missing person, noise/music complaint, vandalism of property, road hazard, trespassing, argument, abandoned vehicle and identity fraud/theft.
In addition, during this same period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the following arrests:
•Labarron Cosby Farrar, 34, Conyers—theft by shoplifting.
•Kelsie Tywayne Stroud, 35, Covington — driving while license suspended or revoked.
During this period officers with the MPD responded to 78 calls for service including 35 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, nine escort or convoy, three alarm and persons refuse to leave, two each fire alarm, special detail, wanted/stolen indicated, subject needs officer and trouble unknown.
Also, one each burglary, assist motorist, speeding auto, courtesy ride, accident, intoxicated driver, mechanical break down, fire, theft by taking, bleeding, crowd disbursement, lift assist invalid, welfare check, property found, shoplifter, argument attempt to serve warrant and fraud/theft by deceiving.
Also during this period the Georgia State Patrol reported the arrest of Marcelino Guerrero-Ramirez, 32, of Shady Dale, and charged him with driving with no license and seat belt violation.
