Robert Leroy Darst

Robert Leroy Darst, 69, of Monticello, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.

Mr. Darst was born in Columbus to the late Ora Lincoln Darst and Dorothy Keller Darst. He lived in Stockbridge for a number of years before moving to Monticello six years ago. He retired after 25 years of service as a machinist for Rockwell Automation.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hall Darst of Monticello; sons, Robert Leroy Darst, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, Roger Allen Darst of Telfair County, and Ballard Eric Darst of Monticello; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Donald “Dee” Darst of Columbus, Ohio; and sisters, Pat Greene and Virginia, both of Columbus, Ohio.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
