Domestic Results In Drug Charges
A deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested Joanne Lezatte and charged her with possession of a schedule II controlled substance (Percocet), possession of a dangerous drug (Tramadol), prescription drugs not in original container, and obstruction of an officer after responding to a domestic dispute on Deerfield Farms Road Sunday.
After arriving at the address the deputy was told by the complainant that Ms. Lezette had fled the scene dressed in only a bathrobe. At the suggestion of a neighbor, Ms. Lezette was discovered hiding underneath the bed in an apartment behind the neighbor’s house. With the help of two other deputies she was forcibly removed from underneath the bed. After receiving permission from the owner to search the building, six pills and one fragment were found in the pocket of a pair of pants lying on the floor in the bathroom area.
The six pills were later identified as Tramadol and the fragment as Percocet. Ms. Lezatte remained incarcerated in the Jasper County Jail Tuesday evening awaiting a first appearance.
