ELECTRICAL FIRE

The home of Linda Branyan and Connie Pope was seriously damaged by fire Sunday afternoon when a fire started in the electrical box in the house.

Heavy smoke was showing at the home located a 920 Apt-to-Miss Road when firefighters arrived.

Miss Pope is disabled, and Ms. Branyan said the smoke was really heavy as she got herself and her sister out of the home.

The roof on the 70-year-old home was practically new, having been replaced after a tornado damaged it just three years ago.

No one was injured, and firefighters extinguished the blaze after considerable time.
