EASTER AT SMITHBORO

Spring is in full swing, as evidenced by the spring flowers and shrubbery which are abloom everywhere. And, if it’s springtime, it must be close to Easter, which is celebrated this Sunday, April 8.

There will be a community sunrise service on the Square at 7 a.m. Sunday, and many churches have special services planned. In addition, the children really enjoy the fun Easter tradition of hunting Easter eggs.

Last Saturday, Smithboro Baptist Church had a fun day for all with a giant slide, hot dog lunch, and gigantic egg hunt. Above are some scenes from that. Several other churches have egg hunts planned this Saturday, April 7. The shrubbery was just so pretty we wanted all to see.
