JOSH STONE TO PLAY COLLEGE BALL

Jasper County High School senior Josh Stone (seated, center) signed a basketball contract with Atlanta Metropolitan College.

He met Friday with Coach Robert Pritchett from Atlanta Metro who said “Josh is a good athlete, a good student, and a good person. That’s a lot going for him as he continues his education. That’s what it takes to contend today.”

Pictured here with Mr. Stone are (front row) Coach Pritchett and Mr. Stone’s mother, Karen Stone, along with (back row) his basketball coach Ernst Scott (left), and Principal Howard Fore. Mr. Stone currently has mostly As with only one B.

He also runs the 400 and does the high jump for the Hurricane track team. He is one of six children. His father (not pictured) is Fred Stone of Monticello.
