WOMANLESS BEAUTY PAGEANT

The Jasper County Volunteer Firefighters Auxiliary hosted a womanless beauty pageant last Saturday at Jasper County Primary School. Some 13 “ladies” competed for the title of Miss Jasper.
They were judged on beauty, talent and interview. Sister Edwina, firefighter #2024 from Shady Dale won the coveted award. First runner-up was Miss Dorothy, firefighter 320 from the Monticello station.
Maddie Oakley from Hillsboro was the second runner-up, and Miss Myrene, also from Hillsboro was third runner-up. Roberta Roundbottom won the award of Miss Congeniality. Chris Evans did a great Jerry Clower impression entertaining guests while the judges results were tallied.
Several firefighters from the Piedmont station #5 also competed. The group plans to sell 2013 calendar featuring the beauties.
