Monticello Night at the Braves is May 29

The Monticello – Jasper County Chamber of Commerce (COC) and the Jasper County Recreation Department are teaming up to host Jasper County night with the Braves.

The Braves will face the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. The Braves swept the Cardinals in St. Louis last weekend, so the Cards will be seeking revenge.

Tickets are $18 each, and include a tour on the field, as well as recognition during the game. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the Hank Aaron Ramp, located at aisle 129 inside of Turner Field at 6 p.m.

The goal of this outing is to gather as many Jasperites as possible to represent Jasper County at Turner Filed, although anyone is welcome. Participants are welcome to bring friends and family members from other counties with them.

Tickets may be purchased through the Recreation Department or the COC. Call the Recreation Department at 706-468-4916 or the COC office at 706-468-8994.

By purchasing tickets though the local agencies, everyone will be seated in the same area.

Please note that transportation is not provided, although groups such as churches, civic organizations and the like may be interested in carpooling or chartering a bus to make the night extra fun.

The children will be out of school, so bedtimes don’t matter, say organizers. “Come join the fun, and put Jasper County on Atlanta’s radar,” said Recreation Director Wes Chester and COC board chair Amanda Crews.
