Jerry Willard Davidson, Sr.
Jerry Willard Davidson, Sr., 62, of Monticello, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Davidson was born in Gainesboro, TN. He lived in Atlanta for a number of years before moving to Monticello in 1986. His parents were the late Hiram Alaska Davidson and Ethel Avo Stafford Davidson. Before retirement, Mr. Davidson worked as a roofer for the Randall Brothers Roofing Company.
Brothers and sisters, Richard Davidson, Pauline Abbey, Betty Jean Stocks, Mable Willhite, and Lewis Davidson, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Mae Champion Davidson of Monticello; children, Jerry Willard Davidson, Jr., Gary Champion, Rhonda Champion, Brianna Davidson, and Kevin Willhite, all of Monticello, and Kimberly Davidson of Atlanta; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers and sister, Elmer Davidson of East Point, Charles Davidson of Monticello, Vicki Scott and Jackie Wallace, both of Atlanta, Bobby Davidson of Morrow, and Stanley Davidson of Covington.
Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home, with interment in Williams Payne Cemetery. Dr. John Brown will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 21, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Watson, Harrison Watson, Wilburn Knight, William Biddy, Dennis Baker, and Billy Watson.
