Most Races Contested At End of Qualifying
Qualifying for the July 31 Republican and Democratic primaries, and non-partisan races closed at noon Friday with a few surprises and many contested races.
However, a few races are not contested, so unless someone qualifies as an independent, those people will be re-elected without a battle.
Probate Judge Linda Mock Keller has no opposition. In addition, State Rep. Susan Holmes has no opposition. No one qualified for the Clerk of Court position, but incumbent Dan Jordan announced long ago he would be running again as an independent.
