Jasper County Middle School Athletes Are Honored

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AT JCMS ARE OUTSTANDING ATHLETES

Jasper County Middle School held its Spring sports awards banquet recently at the school.

First recognizing outstanding baseball athletes, Tyler Seawright won an award for Best Pitching. The Best Offense award went to Brelan Crowe, and Best Defense went to Jacob Cavender. Wyatt Currie was recognized with the Team Spirit award. The baseball team finished second in its tournament.

Both boys and girls track teams finished strong in the league meet.

Boys track award recipients included Jamie Johnson for Most Outstanding Sprinter, Austin Blankenship for Most Outstanding Long Distance Runner, Jamaric Bonner for Most Outstanding Field Athlete and Jack Johnston received the Coach’s Award.

Girls Track award recipients included Quantasia Perry for Most Outstanding Sprinter, Calie Batson for Most Outstanding Long Distance Runner, Star Caldwell and Alyssa Wilson for Most Outstanding Field Athlete and Kamia Thomas received the Coach’s Award.
