Sure Sign of Deer

Adam McGinnis, who a few years ago spearheaded the effort to put Jasper County back on the map as The Deer Capital of Georgia, holds one of the signs which will be placed at the entrances to the county.
The signs were made at no cost to taxpayers, and will be placed below the “Jasper County” sign on the entries to the county—Hwys. 11, 16, 83, and 212, as well as 142 and some county roads.
The county has held that distinction since the mid-1960s, and the community can capitalize on it for economic growth, tourism, conservation efforts, and more.
