Carlie Evans to Play Softball at Point

Carlie Allison Evans, received a softball scholarship from Point University on June 12. Miss Evans will start classes in the fall, and plans to major in Criminal Justice.

Founded in 1937 as Atlanta Christian College, Point University is a private, four-year liberal arts institution preparing students to influence culture for Christ in all spheres of life—through business, church, government, arts and entertainment, education, media and family.

With an enrollment of more than 1,200 students, Point University offers degree programs in areas of study ranging from biblical studies to biology. The university provides a broad, comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for their chosen professions. Just as importantly, the university equips students to take their faith into the marketplace in new and culturally relevant ways, so that they see life and mission as one and the same.

Miss Evans is a 2012 graduate of Jasper County High School and is the daughter of Chris and Alice Evans of Monticello.
